Bumblebee!!!

My fave autobot

During the time of Barbie dolls, Cabbage Patch Kids and Care Bears, I was also engrossed with Transformers. Being the youngest and only girl in the family, I have no choice but to engage in whatever my brothers want to play with. I had toy guns, trains.. I basically had my share of "toys for the boys". They have no choice but to give me one of their prized toy possession which is Bumblebee, the smallest autobot who constantly proves himself to his commander Optimus Prime (who else but my kuya haha).

That's why no one can stop me from watching the movie. No spoilers please. I heard a lot of good reviews and I can't wait to watch it. All I can remember is that my Bumblebee turns into a Volkswagen Beetle but I heard that in this movie, Bumblebee is a 1970s Chevrolet Camaro but will later be modified into the 2008 preproduction version of the car. Hmmmmm....

I checked their site and the soundtrack is cool. If the movie will pass my critique, I'll buy the original DVD format. ;-)

My Name Is

Aside from the inability to choose our parents, it's also impossible for us to choose our names. You just wake up one day with the full understanding of what your name is and you compare it with others. You think it's ok to be named Hercules when you were in pre-school but then realized it sounded funny when you reached high school because you look so thin.

To enlighten everyone else who kinda share the dilemma of the above-mentioned names, we have a law that will allow you to change your name:

Republic Act No. 9048 dated March 22, 2001 provides the grounds for change of first name or nickname, to wit:

The petitioner finds the first name or nickname to be ridiculous, tainted with dishonor or merely difficult to write or pronounce;

The new first name or nickname has been habitually and continuously used by the petitioner and he has been publicly known by that first name or nickname in the community or;

The change will avoid confusion.

I'm not sure though if it's possible to change the last name. Hehe. Unless you get married of course. Ayala or Zobel? You choose. ;-)

Malansang Isda

It all boils down to one thing, kung hindi ka kumportable mag-English, wag mong pilitin. Or wag mong gawing katawa-tawa.

I am the stars, you are the moon. Together we sun."

"Clean out Horniness Whitening".

Tapos sa baba, nakalagay "for all body" (ilan ba ang katawan ko?)

Tapos sa baba pa nun, "
One Minutes Dispel Horniness".

Horniness? Wala naman akong naramdaman.

Simple lang yan. We should respect each other's culture.

Read through this excerpt from Bob Ong's "Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino?"

He said: "You son of a bitch, how come you are here... you do not know how to speak Tagalog."

the Girl with the Curl

I have been a bonafide non-conformist since the day that I landed here on Earth.

Fashion-wise, music-wise..I tend to veer away from what's hot or what's in. Not that I do it intentionally. I just recently noticed that I have a tendency not to go with the flow. Just recently. About 37 seconds ago.

But of course there are instances when I follow what normal people do (harharhar) because if I won't, I guess I wouldn't be wearing my undies, I woudn't wash my face or perhaps brush my teeth. Basic stuff, that I do go with the flow.

A non-conformist. That I am. Maybe 85% of me.

Everybody's wearing skinny jeans. I don't.
Everybody watched Spiderman 3, Shrek 3 etc. I didn't.
Everybody listens to the hottest bands. I don't.

It takes a while or a bit of a time with constant prodding before I give in.

Like wearing skinny jeans. I MIGHT wear one. But I won't be too excited about it.

Everybody straightens/rebonds their hair. I don't.

Coz I don't have to.

I've worn my hair straight eversince (and again since the day I landed here on Earth). Straight and boring. That's my hair. There were times when I tweaked it, had it colored and shortened it. Way, way too short. That was the time when I was still a Baguio resident. The weather is killing my long hair so I had it cut. Super short. That I looked like a PMAer. HAHA.

Then it has grown. Long again. Thanks to gravity and my hair follicles.

Out of curiosity, I wondered how will I look if I was curly.

YEAH. I want to get a perm.

Next thing I know, I was the victim of my gay friend and he slash she was the one who did it. I was happy with the results. =)

BUT. A big BUT. It went back and straightened itself again. I think my hair has their own little brains and they just decided to "rebond" themselves.

Since I have the BIGGER brain, I had a perm again. From a salon just awhile ago. I now have curly ends. Again, I'm happy with the results. I HOPE and I PRAY that it will stay curly for the rest of the month. BONUS if it can last for three more months. OR ELSE, I'll just chop my hair on my own.

Lesson:

Don't talk when your mouth is full.

Relevance? Nothing.

This is my blog. This is my hair.
