Anawangin Cove: WOW!

If you have not heard about this place yet, you are now about to fall in love with it after reading this blog. I was just browsing through Pinoy Exchange when I came across the Anawangin thread and I couldn't believe that this paradise existed here in the Philippines and yes dear, it's located in Zambales. By looking at the pictures, I thought it was somewhere in Alaska or Colorado. You usually see coconut trees when you're on the beach right? Here, they have pine trees! Well, I read somewhere that they are not actually pine trees but they are called "Agohos".

The place is indeed a photographer's haven. With their permission, I have asked the following photographers' nod so I can post these awesome pictures here.

I'll definitely go to this place real soon. Anawangin doesn't have electricity, no cellphone signal, not even a radio or tv signal. Very secluded. People who go there just bring their own tents, food and water. Mountaineers frequent the place. I just hope this place won't get too commercialized. We have to preserve this beauty.

Be warned though that there are wild tamaraws and baby sharks on the area, that's based from what I've read from a camper's blog. Well, that is, if you'll go swimming and trek the mountains.

How to get there:

--> Take the bus going to Iba, Zambales. from Sta.Ana town proper, you have to go to Brgy. Pundaquit which is 20mins from Sta. Ana. From there, take the boat going to Anawangin.

So.... let's go?
